EDEKA Südwest Fleisch is a wholly owned subsidiary of EDEKA Südwest. Being a strong partner for retailers, the company supplies more than 1300 EDEKA retailers in the sales area of EDEKA Südwest with high-quality meat and sausage products. At the modern premises in Rheinstetten near Karlsruhe, more than 1000 employees skilfully produce first-class meat and sausage specialties by the latest technology. Although we neither breed nor slaughter ourselves we would nevertheless like to use our influence on the agriculture responsibly. We have made animal welfare a priority in our production system.

EDEKA Südwest Fleisch is committed to its social and environmental responsibility and cooperates closely with local farmers in Germany. Furthermore, we are in constant contact with our rabbit meat suppliers to improve the welfare and the housing conditions for these animals. To provide compliance of animal welfare acts and observance of our additional regulations we regularly carry out external and, of course, internal controls. We are very pleased that our work has been recognised by a Good Rabbit Award and are looking forward to putting as much afford as needed in our work to ensure the best possible well-being of our animals.
